Amal leaves his palace

Amal watches the dog with lovely golden hair in his palace built with unearthed marble. The lake is calm and peacocks wander on the lawn. There is a luminous mystery to this place. One day the great Jain Muni Abhayendra comes to their palace. Abhayendra narrates to them the greatness of the Jain sages. After Abhayendra leaves Amal feels disgusted with his lavish life at the palace. He wants to live in great simplicity as a Jain monk. So he hands over his palace to one of his nephews and leaves with his faithful dog. They built a small hut by the river and live simply. One day, Amal falls ill with pneumonia. His dog tends on him everyday, but he is very ill. Then they have a visitor. The great Jain Muni Abhayendra has come to see them. Immediately Amal recovers from his illness. Such is the greatness of Jain munis.
