Rain was usually colourless, unless when it was snowing and white. One day, a bored cloud called Lila wanted to paint the earth with different colors. She first mixed blue paint with the rain and sent blue rain to the earth. Then, she mixed yellow paint with the rain and send yellow rain to earth. Then, she mixed indigo paint with the rain and sent indigo rain to earth. Then, Lila mixed red paint with the rain and sent red rain to earth. She then mixed green paint with the rain and sent green rain to the earth. She then mixed orange paint with the rain and sent orange rain to the earth. Soon, Lila became tired and went to sleep. However the coloured rain she had sent to the earth got all mixed up and it started flowing in on a muddy bent road. Because of this the mixed-up colored rain took the shape of an arc. It felt lonely on earth. It wanted to live in the sky. It asked a passing raven to take to sky. The raven refused. Then, the mixed-up colored rain arc asked the sparrow. The sparrow said “No, No” The mixed-up colored rain arc asked the eagle, but the eagle did not refuse. So, the eagle took the mixed-up colored rain arc to the sky and left it there. And it remains there till today. You can still see it when it rains. It is the rainbow. The rainbow was very fond of the eagle and made it the king of birds.
